30's Hourglass *
|
1999 | |
| After at first disliking 1930's colours, I grew to really love them, when mixed with plenty of white rather than the historically more correct acid green or bubble gum pink. I have a small collection of 30's style fabrics, & even though the vogue for them has now passed I still like quilts made using them. All the fabrics used in this quilt are reproduction fabrics. I have used the same old white soft sheeting fabric that I have also used in my wallhanging. | ||

Country Mystery *
|
2001 | |
| Another on-line Mystery that I teased Wessex Quilters with & I was only one step ahead of them too! I wanted to get this one finished quickly to show the group so tried my version of 'big stitch' quilting for the first time using embroidery thread. I was rather pleased with the results. | ||

Christmas Dresden Plates
*
|
2000 | |
| Using up lots of my Christmas fabrics. I also used my favourite sashing design on this quilt. If you look carefully at the sashing, you might be able to just see I've had to substitute some different red fabrics as I ran out of the original fabric, then my sub ran out too, so I had to use a third fabric! Necessity is the mother of invention eh? | ||
